Heading to Shark Territory for Lunar New Year

I had the privilege of designing a Lunar New year design for our very own NHL team, the San Jose Sharks.  My design takes it’s influence from Chinese paper cutting and features an intricate floral motif and many auspicious symbols such as the “盤長結“ (pan chang knot) and “福” (Good fortune).  My design will be featured on a black T-Shirt that will be given to attendees of the Lunar New Year Night February 18th Game at SAP center.  My gracious patrons the Shark’s have invited me to attend the game and do a live painting pre-game.  The painting will be gifted to the Shark’s foundation to be sold at auction during the game.  I will also be given the honor of dropping the puck to kick off the game and festivities for the evening.   Hope to see you there and go Sharks!
